Nexus ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address and display name through our authentication provider (Supabase Auth).
Phone Number: If you choose to add a phone number, we store it to support your account and to deliver our optional SMS program. We will not send you SMS messages without your separate, explicit consent, which you give by turning on SMS Updates in the app and confirming by reply. See SMS Terms.
User-Generated Content: We store data you create within the app, including tasks, habits, calendar events, journal entries, mandates, and daily scores. This data is stored on your device and, if you enable cloud sync, on our servers.
Voice Data: When you use voice input, it is transcribed using on-device speech recognition where available. In some modes, audio is sent to OpenAI for transcription. We do not store raw audio recordings after transcription is complete.
Usage and Analytics Data: We use PostHog to collect product-analytics events, such as screens viewed, in-app interactions, and app open and close, linked to a pseudonymous account identifier. This data is not anonymous. We never send your habits, mandates, reflections, or other personal content for analytics.
We share data with the following third-party services only as needed to provide the app:
Nexus offers an optional SMS program that sends occasional content updates and reflections. It is off by default and we never send messages to anyone who has not opted in.
How you opt in: in the app, open Settings and turn on "Content updates by text" under SMS Updates. The toggle is off by default. Turning it on displays a consent disclosure you must accept, and we then send a confirmation text that you must answer with YES before any further messages are sent.
What you agree to: recurring automated text messages from Nexus, including a morning and evening quote plus occasional content updates and reflections. Message and data rates may apply. Up to 2 messages per day. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
How you opt out: reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe, or turn the toggle off in Settings. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at admin@thecircleoflight.net.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) solely to transmit the messages you asked for.

Your data is stored on your device and, if you enable cloud sync, on Supabase's encrypted cloud infrastructure. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.
You can request to access, export, correct, or delete your personal data, and opt out of usage analytics, by contacting us at admin@thecircleoflight.net. We will respond within a reasonable time.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at admin@thecircleoflight.net and we will remove it from our systems and our service providers, except where we are required to retain it by law. You can also clear local data by uninstalling the app.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Nexus is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy within the app and updating the date above.
